We are a small-and-mighty communications and fundraising collective with collaborators across the U.S. Our team has more than two decades of experience partnering with remarkable causes worldwide to create digital campaigns that drive real action. As a purpose-driven collective, Humansize commits at least 10% of our time to pro bono projects focused on advancing equity.

Case Studies

 

A Call to Men

A Call to Men works to transform society by promoting healthy, respectful manhood in order to prevent violence against women, girls, and those at the margins of the margins. Humansize was honored to have been A Call to Men's digital agency of record from 2019 - April 2022. In collaboration with their communications department, we were able to transform their digital strategy – from creating high-impact day-to-day social content; to curating and nurturing a fundraising strategy; to building out a robust email strategy; and implementing a successful paid media program that consistently attracted leads at $1.50 per acquisition.

Over the course of our 2019-2022 engagement, we saw immense growth across the organization:

  • Overall digital revenue grew by 43% per year

  • The number of email subscribers more than doubled – from 10k to over 21k

  • The total number of gifts grew by 91.5%

  • Social followers grew by 86%, and engagement rate tripled

Beyond building a stable, data-driven communications program, we were also able to mentor the A Call to Men team to develop the practices and principles that would empower them to be successful even after our departure.

 
 

The Innocence Project

The Innocence Project works to overturn wrongful convictions and prevent future injustice through legislative reform. Matt helped to launch many of their platforms as the full-time digital manager from 2005-2011, and Humansize returned as consultants almost a decade later to partner with their communications and development teams in order to grow the organization’s digital platforms and reach. We engaged teams across the organization in a collaborative strategy, and participated in every step of the rollout – from creative concepts to content creation for email, social, and web; to an investment in paid media to drive lead acquisition; to the development and migration of internal tools and systems to support a growing program.

The results of our 2017-2019 engagement were remarkable:

  • Overall digital revenue grew by 25% per year

  • The email list grew by 50% per year

  • Email revenue doubled in one year

The systems we helped to design and implement (and the additional revenue brought in from this engagement) supported a sustainable internal system that has seen continued growth YoY to the present.
